a Smash Success!
The 5th annual Barryville Pumpkinfest, held on Oct 6, 2007 drew an estimated 5,000 people on a beautiful sunny Autumn day. Spirits were high as throngs of festival goers participated in the many events of the day. Folk singer Will Knox and recording country duo, Sommerville, hit the stage to add to the festivities.
The contests were fiercely competitive this year. Several of the winners donated their prize money to the Roscoe Relief fund including River Market and The River Reporter. A total of $1,361.00 was collected by the Greater Barryville Chamber of Commerce and presented to the Roscoe Flood Relief fund this past week.
